The Female Tube Adapter (AN) provides a reliable transition between standard instrumentation tubing and a $37^{\circ}$ AN (Army-Navy) flared connection. It features a smooth tube stub designed to be gripped by a double-ferrule compression fitting and a female threaded end that creates a high-pressure, vibration-resistant metal-to-metal seal with a male AN flare. This “swing-free” design simplifies assembly by allowing the adapter to be threaded onto a male fitting independently of the tubing, making it ideal for the confined layouts often found in aerospace, high-performance automotive, and specialized hydraulic systems. Typically manufactured from 316 stainless steel, it ensures excellent mechanical integrity and corrosion resistance in demanding environments.
