The Bore Through Male Connector (NPT) is a specialized instrumentation fitting designed to allow a thermocouple, probe, or continuous length of tubing to pass entirely through the body of the fitting and into a process line. Unlike standard connectors that have an internal shoulder to act as a tube stop, this “bore-through” version is precision-machined with a consistent internal diameter, enabling the tube to be positioned at any depth. On the tube side, it utilizes a high-performance double-ferrule compression system to provide a leak-proof, high-pressure seal around the passed-through component, while the male NPT end features tapered threads for a secure, pressure-tight connection to a female port. Typically manufactured from 316 stainless steel, these connectors are essential in heat exchangers, temperature sensing applications, and analytical sampling systems where precise probe placement is critical for accurate measurement.
